As a proud representative of the Tamil Nadu Wheelchair Basketball team, Manikandan has achieved significant milestones. In 2018, he secured a Bronze Medal, showcasing his prowess on the court. His dedication and hard work culminated in a Gold Medal at the 2022 South Zone Event, highlighting his consistent commitment to excellence in Wheelchair Basketball.

Beyond his achievements in basketball, Manikandan actively participates in various Para Athletic Games, showcasing his versatility in adaptive sports. His involvement in Para Athletics indicates a well-rounded interest in different sporting disciplines, reflecting a passion for athletic pursuits.

Currently residing at the Anugraha Charity home in Coimbatore, Manikandan’s commitment to sports is evident in his future aspirations. Additionally, his interest in learning Parai art—an ancient drumming tradition from Tamil Nadu—adds a cultural and artistic dimension to his pursuits.
