Run for Wheels Marathon – 2018
The First Edition of Run for Wheels Marathon held at KGISL college campus on May 6th, 2018 to spread the awareness on Para Sports..
On May 06th, 2018 Morning 6am, honorable
Dr. G. Bakthavathsalam, Chairman, KG Group of Institutions flagged of the 10km category of Run for Wheels marathon. Followed by Mr.SujithKumar IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) flagging of the 5km category and ran in the same category as a participant.
The Event was planned to spread the awareness of Para Sports and raise fund for procuring Sports Wheelchairs to train differently abled people in Wheelchair basketball. The Chennai Silks laid the first stone by being the title sponsor for the event, continued by Kotak and Sangegoudar companies.
KGiSL College accommodated the event in their beautiful campus and their large ground gracefully accommodated the 600+ participants comfortably.
